24 hour security is included within your levy.

WHAT TRANSPORT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

During daylight hours, a golf cart is available to assist within the premises. Trips in our minibus are arranged weekly for residents needing transport to nearby shopping centres. The minibus is also used for organised and arranged outings. The Lodge Village is wheelchair friendly, and there are chair lifts plus elevators to assist.

DO I PAY EXTRA FOR INSURANCE?

Buildings insurance is included within your levy. Residents are responsible for insuring their personal belongings and any fixtures inside their property.

WHAT IF I AM INJURED OR IN DISTRESS?

There is an internal telephone or intercom system installed throughout The Lodge that can be freely used to contact other residents, the Care Centre and the Office. Residents are also given a state-of-the-art panic button to wear, in case of an emergency.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY GARDEN?

The Lodge employs a gardening service to care for all the gardens and to assist with personal gardening needs.

WHAT IS THE COST OF WATER AND ELECTRICITY?

Each property has its own electricity meter and the cost of personal consumption is added to your monthly statement. A pro-rata share of the electrical usage within the common areas will also be added to your monthly statement. Water usage is included within your monthly levy. Post is collected from Bryanston Post Office and then sorted into the private mail boxes situated in the Community Centre. Outgoing mail is collected from the dedicated box in the same area and then taken to the Post Office for mailing.

ARE THERE ANY PLACES TO EAT WITHIN THE VILLAGE?

Our attractive dining room serves delicious meals and is open from Monday to Sunday for lunch and Tuesday to Friday for dinner.

AM I ABLE TO USE MY OWN PERSONAL DOMESTIC WORKER AND/OR GARDENER?

Personal staff, once registered with the office manager, may be employed. Caregivers should preferably be either vetted, or recommended, by the Care Centre Unit Manager.

Should you bring your own gardener, they must remove all the cuttings/foliage that they have removed in front of your unit. Your own gardeners may not touch The Lodge’s garden.

ARE THERE LAUNDRY FACILITIES?

A well-equipped token operated laundry with washing machines, tumble driers and an outside drying line is conveniently located at the Community Centre. Tokens may be purchased at the office.
