HEALTHCARE FACILITY

Our on-site Care Centre has been an integral part of The Lodge Retirement Village since its inception over 30 years ago.

The 21 bed Care Centre facility is available for Lodge residents who need either short term or long term care and, when there is availability, also accepts non-residents. The Care Centre offers Assisted Living Suites, Mid-Care rooms, Frail Care rooms and Sickbays.

Although fully furnished, Care Centre residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing their own furniture and décor items.

Residents in the Care Centre are included and welcome at social activities and functions held at The Lodge. They enjoy the hairdressing salon, the main lounge and having their meals in the Community Centre dining room. Within the Care Centre and for residents’ personal use there is also an attractive private dining room and sitting room with TV. Three healthy meals with a choice of menu are served daily, plus morning and afternoon tea. All linen is provided and laundry services are fully included.

The Clinic & Treatment Room in the Care Centre is used by visiting doctors, physiotherapists and for other medical requirements. Our own doctor holds a regular Wednesday surgery and is available for all Village residents to consult.

The Lodge also supports community, home-based healthcare utilising qualified caregivers. This ensures that our Village residents, when in need, are fully able to safely enjoy their homes.

To assist our residents with ready communication and ensure the best possible care and support, an internal telephone or intercom system is installed in every property throughout the Village. There is also a panic-button emergency system connected directly to the Care Centre to further ensure immediate medical attention when needed.
